Who Can Get a Student Transit Pass?
Students at over 160 Alameda County schools can apply for a free Student Transit Pass. Your eligibility is based on your school district:
- Universal Districts: All 6th through 12th graders in these school districts can apply for a free Student Transit Pass. That includes Alameda County Office of Education, Emery Unified, Livermore Valley Joint Unified, and Oakland Unified.
- Means-Based Districts: In these school districts, only 6th through 12th graders whose families meet the free or reduced-priced meal income eligibility guidelines can apply for a free Student Transit Pass.
How to Apply
Find your school’s application below, sorted by school district. Before you start, make sure:
- Your parent or guardian is nearby to provide their signature.
- If you already have a Youth Clipper card, please have it ready. You will need to provide the serial number so we can load the Student Transit Pass directly onto it. If you don’t have a Youth Clipper card, we’ll mail one to your school with the pass loaded on it.
IMPORTANT: If this is not your first time applying for the Student Transit Pass, STOP. This application is just for first-time applicants. Please follow the instructions to replace your pass instead.
