Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans

The Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans describe the state of walking and biking in Alameda County and establish a vision for a more walkable and bikable county. They guide countywide funding policy and program decisions by establishing the countywide priorities for bicycle and pedestrian capital projects and programs, and a set of implementation actions.

Current Plans

The current plans were adopted in October 2012 by the Alameda CTC Commission. The plans and plan maps can be viewed here:

2012 Plan Implementation

The current plans identify 70 implementation actions. These actions provide concrete next steps to ensure the vision and goals of the plans are realized. Successful completion of these actions is subject to resource and funding availability as well as partnership with local jurisdictions, other public agencies and other organizations.
