Alameda CTC Releases 2025 Annual Report

The Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) has released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting continued progress delivering transportation projects and programs that improve safety, expand access and strengthen mobility across Alameda County.

Over the past year, Alameda CTC advanced major transportation investments throughout the county, including completion of the I-80/Gilman Interchange Project in Berkeley, which improves safety, operations, bicycle and pedestrian access, and regional trail connections. Construction also continued on the I-680 Express Lane Gap Project, I-580 Express Lanes toll system upgrade and SR-84/I-680 Interchange Improvement Project to enhance travel options and improve regional connectivity.

Alameda CTC also continued investing in programs that directly benefit students and families. During the 2024–2025 school year, more than 31,500 students at 161 schools participated in the Student Transit Pass Program, taking nearly 2.2 million transit trips using free bus passes, while the Safe Routes to Schools program expanded its reach to nearly 300 schools countywide.

These investments are powered by voter-approved Measure BB, which marked its 10-year anniversary in 2024 and continues to support transportation improvements that enhance safety, access and mobility throughout Alameda County.
