Use the I-580 Express Lanes Through the Tri-Valley

The I-580 Express Lanes through Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton are open. Watch this video to learn how to use the lanes. All users need to have a FasTrak® toll tag. A FasTrak Flex® toll tag is required for carpools, motorcycles and eligible clean air vehicles to use the lanes toll-free. Get yours at www.bayareafastrak.org.

The new I-580 Express Lanes are open through the Tri-Valley (Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore), providing a new choice for travelers. The I-580 Express Lanes are toll-free for carpools, vanpools, motorcycles, buses and eligible clean-air vehicles (with a green or white sticker) as long as you carry a FasTrak® Flex toll tag set to 2 or 3+. Solo drivers can choose to pay a toll using a FasTrak or FasTrak Flex toll tag to access the lanes for a more reliable trip. Getting your FasTrak toll tag and opening an account is easy at www.BayAreaFasTrak.org. The I-580 lanes feature near continuous access – so drivers can enter and exit at almost any point, providing easy access to and from most local exits. The express lanes operate Monday – Friday from 5am – 8pm (including holidays).

Who can use the Express Lanes?
Carpools can ride toll-free with a FasTrak Flex tag set to 2 or 3+.
Clean Air Vehicles with the proper sticker (white or green) issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles can ride toll-free with a FasTrak Flex tag set to 3+.
Motorcycles ride toll-free with a FasTrak Flex tag set to 3+.
Buses with passengers may ride toll-free with a FasTrak Flex tag set to 3+.
Solo drivers pay a fee to use the express lanes during operating hours (M-F 5am-8pm). Solo drivers must either have an active FasTrak toll tag or FasTrak Flex toll tag set to 1. The correct toll will be automatically deducted from your account.
