The Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) and California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the State Route 84 Expressway Modernization and State Route 84/Interstate 680 Interchange Improvement Project. The event will be hosted on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 10:00 am.

The ribbon cutting will be held near Vallecitos Road and State Route 84 in Sunol, west of the Sunol Paintball Outdoor Park. From State Route 84, turn onto Vallecitos Road. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Ribbon cutting will be held under most weather conditions, including rain.
