Another Major Award for the Interstate 880 North Safety and Operational Improvements at 23rd and 29th Avenues Project

One of the transportation industry’s most prestigious awards is the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Award. One of this year’s ACEC California Bay Bridge Chapter competitive award winners is the Interstate 880 North Safety and Operational Improvements at 23rd and 29th Avenues project in recognition of outstanding engineering and surveying projects. Michael Baker International, the lead design firm/structural engineer, was recognized today for their work on this project. Alameda CTC was the implementing agency for this project.

Earlier this year, Engineering News-Record (ENR) awarded Interstate 880 North Safety and Operational Improvements at 23rd and 29th Avenues the 2020 Regional Best Highway/Bridge Project. ENR is a publication with global reach that provides construction news, analysis, commentary and data directed towards contractors, project owners, engineers, architects, government regulators and industry suppliers.
