A Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal

Congratulations from the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) to the City of Alameda and the San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) for achieving this exciting milestone of opening the Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal.

The Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal is a new ferry terminal in the heart of the former Naval Air Base Alameda (aka, Alameda Point), which is emerging as one of the most unique infill development opportunities in the country. This project creates a Transbay transit hub with access by all modes, bringing together ferry service, bike access, bike parking, bus stops, a 400-space parking lot with EV charging stations, and pick-up and drop areas.

“We’re excited about this transit hub that helps commuters get to where they need to go quickly and efficiently with multiple choices on how to access the terminal,” said Alameda CTC Chair Pauline Cutter.
