This fall, Alameda CTC adopted the vision and goals for the 2020 Countywide Transportation Plan (CTP). A long-range planning and policy document that is updated every four years, the 2020 CTP guides future transportation decisions for all modes and users in Alameda County. The 2020 CTP vision and goals are:

Alameda County residents, businesses and visitors will be served by a premier transportation system that supports a vibrant and livable Alameda County through a connected and integrated multimodal transportation system promoting sustainability, access, transit operations, public health and economic opportunities.

- High Quality and Modern Infrastructure, and
- Economic Vitality
A final CTP is scheduled for adoption in fall 2020 after development of a needs assessment, gaps analysis and public outreach that are scheduled through the first half of 2020.
