New Access in Emeryville: South Bayfront Bridge—An Alameda CTC Grant-funded Project

The City of Emeryville is constructing a pedestrian bridge—the South Bayfront Bridge. The bridge will connect Ohlone Way and the Bay Street area with Horton Street by spanning 227 feet over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and right-of-way.

A new addition to the Emeryville Greenway will be the Horton Landing Park, which will be built on the east side of the train tracks. Pathways in the park will connect South Bayfront Bridge to adjacent streets at Horton just south of 53rd Street and near Stanford Avenue. The greenway within Horton Landing Park will connect to a future greenway that is to extend southward to Sherwin Avenue near Halleck Street.
