Express Lanes Toll Ordinance

The Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) has introduced and proposes to adopt an ordinance at its April 25, 2024 meeting to amend Alameda CTC’s existing Express Lanes Toll Enforcement Ordinance (Toll Ordinance). Alameda CTC will become the governing body for the I-680 Express Lanes in Alameda County, requiring an update to the Alameda CTC Toll Ordinance to include reference to the I-680 Express Lanes. Usage requirements and toll evasion penalties will not be modified, and adoption of the proposed ordinance will not result in any operational changes for drivers who use the I-680 Express Lanes in Alameda County.

A public hearing at which the Alameda CTC will review and consider action regarding the adoption of the ordinance will take place at the Alameda CTC meeting on April 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Members of the public wishing to participate may do so in person at the date, time, and location above or may submit a public comment by emailing the Clerk of the Commission at by 5:00 p.m. the day before the scheduled meeting, including the words “Public Comment” in the email’s subject line.
