Public Notice: Notice of Intention to Adopt a Conflict-of-Interest Code and Establishment of Written Comment Period for the Sunol Smart Carpool Lane Joint Powers Authority

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sunol Smart Carpool Lane Joint Powers Authority (“Authority”) intends to adopt a Conflict-of-Interest Code (the “Code”) pursuant to the requirements of the Political Reform Act (Government Code Section 81000. et seq.).

The proposed Code establishes designated employees and disclosure categories for filing Statements of Economic Interest, sets forth conflict of interest rules governing disqualification standards, campaign contribution rules, and conflicts disclosure requirements, and includes other Authority requirements and prohibitions. It also incorporates sections 18700.3, 18704, and 18707 of the Fair Political Practices Commission Regulations (2 CCR §§ 18700.3, 18704, 18707), and any amendments to them by reference.

Written comments concerning the proposed Code are welcome and may be submitted to the Authority at the address and contact listed above. Written comments must be submitted by no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 14, 2019, in order for them to be considered by the Authority before adoption of the proposed Code.
