Countywide Travel Demand Model

The CMA released an updated countywide travel demand model in August 2011. The updated model incorporates the Projections 2009 Land Use of Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG). The Countywide Travel Demand Model is originally expanded from the MTC’s Regional Transportation Model (BAYCAST model) in 2007, and provides more detailed traffic analysis zones, road and transit networks and other details within Alameda County.

Model Vehicle Volumes

Below are the plots of the model volumes for a.m. peak 1-hour, p.m. peak 1-hour, p.m. peak 2-hour, p.m. peak 4-hour and daily for the four Planning Areas of Alameda County. There are separate volume plots for each time period for horizon year for each planning area except for p.m. 2-hour and 4-hour time periods for which the volume plots are combined for all horizon years for each planning area. The volume numbers appear directly on the network roadway links. They are printed quite small, but you can use the Adobe viewer to zoom in on them. The volumes are printed small to show volumes on as many links as possible.
