2012 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans

From May 2010 to October 2012, Alameda CTC updated the Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans. The goal of these updates was to reflect current bicycling and walking conditions, needs and priorities in Alameda County.

Final Plans

The final plans were adopted on October 25, 2012 by the Alameda CTC Commission. 

Public Input

The public was encouraged to provide comments on the draft Plans and was welcome to attend any of the public meetings where the Draft Plans and plan elements were presented and discussed.

Over 65 individuals provided comments on the Draft Plans. These comments were considered and included in the Final Draft Plans, as appropriate. The following documents summarize the comments and how they were addressed.

  • October 25: Alameda CTC Board will consider adopting the Final Draft Plans.

Note that Alameda CTC’s Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans build upon local bicycle and pedestrian plans. To get involved with specific local bicycle and pedestrian improvements, attend your city’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) meetings.
